John,
Today would have marked the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. People around the country are protesting and marching, demanding the rights that were recently stripped away by the radical Supreme Court justices.
It's still disheartening to think that six judges voted that we must compromise our right to choose, our right to privacy and our right to bodily autonomy. But we are not going to give up - we're still fighting to elect pro-choice leaders who will stand up to these bigots. If you're standing with us, please make a donation here.
We need leaders who will take action to keep anti-equality leaders OUT of our bedrooms and stop the assault on LGBTQ rights. It’s about self-determination -- planning our futures as we see fit. It’s about privacy -- a right enshrined in both Roe and Lawrence v. Texas (which struck down anti-sodomy laws). And it’s about strategy -- anti-choice politicians tend to be anti-LGBTQ, too. Twice the reason to kick them out of office!
Today, we must reflect on what's been lost and recommit ourselves to the fight for reproductive justice. Stand with us by making a donation today and help defeat anti-choice bigots and elect politicians who support reproductive rights!
See you at the marches,
