Last week we disrupted the Brookings Institute event with former head of the House Armed Services Committee Rep. Adam Smith, and called for negotiations in Ukraine. Our disruption made quite a splash. CSPAN even beat us to sharing the event video!

We are planning to continue big, bold and peaceful disruptions in the coming months, including on International Women's Day. We will be in Congress nearly every day bringing your demands to the halls of power. 

Will you support CODEPINK as we escalate our disruptions to call for negotiations? 

On stage at the Brookings Institute, we asked who wanted negotiations instead of more war, and no one raised their hand! Not even Adam Smith! It's not hard to believe that the war hawks want more war, but every day people like us know that there is no military solution to the war in Ukraine. 

Our calls for peace weren't being heard by mainstream media. We went through this twenty years ago when we opposed the invasion of Iraq. This is why disrupting events is the best way to get our message to the masses. Now that Congress is open to the public again and war profiteers like Lockheed Martin's CEO have speaking engagements all over the country to sell the war in Ukraine, we are rededicating ourselves to what we do best: disrupting.
