Happy Lunar New Year, John!

Lunar New Year or ‘Seollal’ in Korean is a celebration of the first new moon of the lunar calendar for many Asian communities. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, which signifies longevity, peace, and prosperity. Lunar New Year is a time for families to come together and pay our respects to our ancestors. I’m reflecting on my journey and remembering all of those who came before me.

So tonight, I’ll be looking up at the first new moon of the new year and thinking about my family and my heritage. Let’s celebrate our journeys, look forward to new beginnings, and recommit ourselves to moving forward — together.
