House Formally Sends Articles of Impeachment to Senate
January 16, 2020
While Congress adjourned for Christmas and New Year’s, talk of impeachment took a step out of the spotlight. Hardly any talking head mentioned the delay in sending the articles to the Senate once they passed through the House. And, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) received hardly any flack for not doing so before Christmas recess, with supporters claiming she was merely ensuring the Senate would handle the hearing to the Democrats’ liking. Not surprisingly, liberals used the delay as another means to attack Trump’s character, proving yet again impeachment isn’t about substance, but about their hatred towards the President.
