I just wanted to flag this message from my finance director, John, in your inbox.

It’s amazing -- and a bit scary -- that we’re already thinking about our first end-of-month deadline in 2020. It feels like we just started the election year yesterday, but in fact, things are moving quickly.

As John says, missing our January goal could put us on bad footing right as the race is heating up. So before midnight, we really need to raise $3,946.

The last time you heard from me, we were closing the books on the first year of Jared’s re-election campaign. (Thank you again for all of your help hitting our 2019 end-of-year fundraising goal!)

Well now, I’m reaching out about our first deadline of 2020. We’re already halfway through the month, but John, we’re NOT halfway to our January fundraising goal.

I couldn’t think of a worse way to start off the election year than behind budget. And if we fall behind on January, our whole financial plan could snowball off track.
