Recently we asked you to be one of 142 signers of our petition calling for George Santos to resign. We were looking for 142 signers specifically, because Santos told reporters last week, “If 142 people ask for me to resign, I’ll resign.”

 

We told you that if 142 people signed our petition, we’d tweet at George Santos calling on him to step down.

 

You didn’t disappoint. Within 15 minutes of sending the request for our supporters to sign our petition, we had 142 people add their names! So here’s what we tweeted:

 

 

This guy has told lie on top of lie on top of lie. From lying about his religion, to lying about his family history. He even disgraced 9/11 victims by claiming his mother was a victim of the 9/11 attack. But she wasn’t even in the U.S. in 2001.

 

Santos has to go. But the fact that Kevin McCarthy and the Republican majority are honoring him with committee assignments tells us all we need to know about the state of the GOP.
