Since the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision, special-interest groups have dumped massive amounts into elections so they can buy a seat at the decision-making table while reducing the voting power of Americans across the country.

Too often, this is how that influence plays out:

Lining the pockets of Big Pharma and insurance companies instead of lowering costs

Protecting corporations and Wall Street instead of working people

Catering to the gun lobby instead of addressing the rise of gun violence
