Thirteen years ago today, the Citizens United decision opened the gates for dark money to run rampant in Washington and influence our politics by allowing unlimited, undisclosed, secret special interest money to flood our elections. 

That’s 13 years too long. 

I’m sick and tired of wealthy politicians only working for their own bottom line. I’m sick and tired of the influence a big check can buy in Washington. I’m sick and tired of shadowdy players pulling the strings while the rest of us get left in the dust.

That’s why I’m fighting tooth and nail to get dark money out of our politics for good and make Washington work for everyday folks like you. 

But the big dark money PACs and lobbyists that are used to getting their way in Washington won’t go down without a fight. They’ll spend BIG to stop our progress and keep their hold on power.

Look, I’ve spent my career trying to get dark money out of our politics. That doesn’t make me too popular around here. But I know that this grassroots team is stronger than all the shady donors combined. So, I’m turning to you:
