Stories of Support:

Wow!! We are so overwhelmed with all of the incredible stories of support we are hearing from the holiday season!! Thank you all for everything you do!! We've sprinkled just a few of those touching stories throughout the newsletter, so be sure to scroll through the whole thing to hear how much your support has impacted the military and veteran communities!

Randall & Lacey, supported by Adopt-A-Family

“I would like to thank you on behalf of myself and my family from the bottom of my heart for helping our family this holiday season. Your generous donation was absolutely appreciated, and we feel very blessed to have found an organization that was able to help us so graciously."

"Our son was so excited to receive the new set of Jurassic Park Dinosaurs that he had on his Christmas list. Our daughter, who is autistic (so is our son) is into babies now and she has rocked her new baby for hours. Changing her pacifier and feeding her. Our other daughter has been busy playing with her princesses and Barbies. Again, thank you so much for your generous gifts, time and love that was put into making this magical for our family.” - Randall & Lacey

Over 200 Deployed Still Awaiting Adoption

Wow!! With your help, we have drastically decreased the number of deployed Service Members waiting to be "adopted" and supported with letters and care packages. In the first week of January, there were over 600 and now we are down to just over 200!!

We're so grateful for the incredible outpouring of support... but we still have over 200 waiting to be supported!

If giving back is on your "To Do" list for 2023, take a look at this wonderful opportunity to give back to the men and women who give so much for us!

Story of Support:

Laniece, supported by Adopt-A-Family

"My daughter was smiling ear-to-ear for her adopted Angel, Mr. Bulter who was patient and understanding. Thank you all for having this program, because two days before the holiday our Furnace/Heater stopped operating and we spent almost $1500 to get it replaced." - Laniece

Story of Support:

Thusitha, supported by Adopt-A-Family

"Mrs. Ellen adopted us and she was truly a blessing. We are just now getting on our feet from being homeless and my daughter is a new mom that suffered depression and suicidal thoughts during pregnancy and postpartum depression afterward so I try to be positive even though I have suicidal thoughts of my own."

"So this alone has been a difficult year. Not only did Mrs. Ellen provide gifts for my grandkids she also asked what we needed, called to check on us weekly, and made sure we had a Christmas Meal. She is still checking to make sure we are ok. Thank you so much for allowing us to feel some love and joy this Christmas season. I know what the true meaning of the season is and that’s what we experienced in addition to my grandkid's happiness." - Thusitha

Angel Rhonda and her Adopted Service Member

"Over 17 years ago I adopted my first soldier through you. When he returned home from Iraq, we met in person and have remained friends through the years. We decided it was time to meet face to face again and this was the year. My daughter and I invited him and his daughter to spend Christmas with us at Disney World. They accepted and here we are. Now I’m planning a trip to Washington State this year possibly to visit them in their part of the country. We aren’t waiting over 17 years again." - Angel Rhonda

Marisa, donated to Holiday Stockings for Heroes

“Our great group of friends, Moms of Eastmark, got together to stuff stockings for the first time. Can’t wait till next year when we plan to triple our donation!!!!” - Marisa

Shawn & Tracy, supported by Adopt-A-Family

"We were adopted by a generous donor who provided Christmas Presents and Christmas Dinner for our 4 children. We are so grateful to be a part of the Soldiers' Angel's Program, and an Angel gave us the gift to be able to celebrate a memorable family Christmas together!" - Shawn & Tracy
