Hi,

The results are in from the Congressional investigation into the January 6th attack on the Capitol (and our democracy).

The Jan. 6th Committee has referred Trump and his lawyer John Eastman to the Department of Justice; recommended ethics investigations into four Congressional Republicans; and compiled a legislative to-do list for Congress to protect our democracy.1

Now, we need to see immediate action from President Biden, the Department of Justice, and Congress to ensure this can never happen again.

Sign the petition: President Biden and Congressional leadership must consider and implement the January 6 committee's recommendations without delay!

Over the course of its two-year investigation, the January 6th Committee issued dozens of subpoenas, conducted over a thousand interviews and depositions, and reviewed tens of thousands of memos, briefings, PowerPoints, and secret messages—piecing together the story of how Trump and MAGA allies planned and promoted a criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of an election they knew they lost.

The public watched this story unfold across the Committee’s nine public hearings. We saw that it’s clearer than ever that if given the opportunity to do it again, Trump and his followers will absolutely try to subvert our democracy in the future. Now it’s time for the Biden administration and Congress to follow through on this critical work to defend our democracy!

Sign the petition: President Biden and Congressional leadership must consider and implement the January 6 committee's recommendations without delay!

Thanks for taking action,

Izzi and the team at Demand Progress
