One of the most important lessons I learned during the Trump administration is that Veterans are some of the most effective voices in the fight against the far-right's agenda.

That’s true of some of my Veteran colleagues in Congress, but it’s especially true of Veterans and Military Families across the country who are making their voices heard.

VoteVets has a critical role to play with both.

When I first ran for Congress in 2014, there were seventeen other candidates on the ballot. VoteVets supported me in the primary and it was definitely one of my keys to victory.

Last year, VoteVets helped elect a number of Veteran candidates who might have otherwise lost. Their ads elevating the voices of Veterans were key in many of those races.

Now we have a number of important fights ahead — including the far-right effort to hold our country hostage over the debt ceiling — and VoteVets needs our help to be ready.

They are ready to work their hearts out, but need our help to get it done. So please:
