The damage of Citizens United is clear, and we can’t wait until another election to overturn this terrible decision.

Folks — Thirteen years ago today, the Supreme Court ruled on Citizens United and gave billionaires an unfair advantage in American politics.

Since that disastrous decision, our elections have been flooded with ungodly amounts of cash and inaction on the issues that matter most to Americans. Billionaires spent around $880 million on political campaigns in the 2022 midterms, most of it favoring Republicans who will gladly do their bidding.

The dark money pouring into our elections is drowning out the voices of hardworking Americans like you. Many have lost faith and confidence in the democratic institutions that make up our government.

It’s time to overturn this disastrous decision and restore the voice of the people in our democracy. Will you add your name next to Michael’s and call on Congress to overturn Citizens United?

ADD YOUR NAME

Last year, Michael reintroduced the Democracy for All Amendment. This constitutional amendment would overturn Citizens United and:

  • Allow Congress to set reasonable campaign finance rules and limit corporate spending on politics;
  • Strengthen transparency and ethics in our government;
  • Put the power of elections back in the hands of the American people and out of special interests.

In short, Michael’s amendment will undo the damage of the Citizens United decision and give everyone equal voice in our elections.

So friend, if you’re with us, show your support for the Democracy for All Amendment by adding your name to our petition today.
