PFAW Member --
We are in the most important year in PFAW's nearly 40-year existence and the most important election year of our lives.
That's why I'm so concerned that, as of my last look at our member records, you haven't yet renewed your support for 2020.
The articles of impeachment against Donald Trump were JUST sent from the House to the Senate and the impeachment trial is expected to begin NEXT WEEK...
More damning evidence of Trump's corruption and abuse of power continues to emerge by the day -- including documents provided by indicted Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas...
The newly elected Democratic majorities in the Virginia General Assembly are showing us why elections matter and what progress looks like -- they're already moving ahead on gun reform, protecting choice and voting rights, and just yesterday, they ratified the Equal Rights Amendment (making Virginia the 38th and final state needed for final adoption into the Constitution, although legal battles remain)...
But also in Virginia, the Radical Right is showing us that they won't go down without a fight as gun extremists and militia movement activists are planning armed protests -- on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day -- in the state capital, and credible threats of violence have come to light, triggering a temporary state of emergency as Virginia tries to avoid a repeat of 2017's deadly events in Charlottesville...
People For the American Way is mobilizing for an unprecedented campaign to END Trump Republicans' disastrous assault on our democracy and the American Way. But there's no way we're going to be successful without our members.
If there were ever a year when we needed ALL of PFAW's members standing with us in the fight, it is now. Unfortunately, as I write this, we are not on pace to meet our must-hit goal of 1,922 new or renewed members by the end of the month ... And we need another 301 members to step up within the next 48 hours if we're even going to stand a chance!

We're scaling up the programs that you know and have supported -- like Latinos Vote! to mobilize the absolutely crucial Latino electorate in key states and PFAW's Next Up Victory Fund, which works to elect a deep bench of young progressive leaders at the state and local levels.
We're investing deeply in flipping control of the Senate with our Take Back the Senate Fund, by holding vulnerable Senate Republicans accountable for their support of the Trump agenda and for rubber-stamping Trump's disastrous judicial nominees.
We're even increasing our digital capabilities and adding more tools to our organizing toolbox.
But time is shorter than you think … There are critical fights happening RIGHT NOW (like our efforts to impeach and remove Donald Trump), and the work that's needed to win in November is already well underway.
