Hello Neighbor,

I hope your new year is off to a great start. Since Senate session started last week, we’ve been working hard to start providing common-sense solutions to the issues that we face here in Michigan, and we’ve unveiled our first major policy goals for 2023.

From civil rights expansion to repealing the pension tax, I’m thrilled about the possibilities of what we can accomplish during this legislature. I am particularly honored to announce that on day one, I introduced legislation to overturn Michigan’s so-called “Right-to-Work” law and restore organizing and collective bargaining power to workers across our state.

As we get started in the new term, I’m also excited to share our first community events as your State Senator for the 4th District. Your input as a member of our community matters a great deal to me, which is why I will be hosting a set of New Majority Townhalls across District 4 in the coming months.

The goal of these forums is to have a conversation about the direction that our state is headed and hear your questions, concerns, and priorities so I can make sure your needs are informing my priorities in the legislature.

The first New Majority Townhall will be at the Belleville Area District Library from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 30th, where we will focus specifically on the issues facing our Western Wayne communities.

We will also be hosting a New Majority Townhall at the Trenton Library on February 8th from 7:00-8:00 p.m., where we will be discussing how our first legislation will impact Downriver.

We hope to see you at one of these events, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or there is anything I can do to be helpful to you and your family.

In Solidarity,

Darrin CamilleriState SenatorDistrict 4
