North Carolina Republican legislators asked the North Carolina Supreme Court to rehear a case over the state’s congressional and legislative maps, a blatantly partisan move after control of the state Supreme Court flipped to red in the 2022 midterm elections. They also asked the court to rehear a case challenging a restrictive photo ID law.

Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer announced his plan to speed up election results in Arizona, which includes requiring mail-in ballots to be returned four days before Election Day, expanding the early voting period and more.

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court justices weighed a petition filed by Ohio Republicans asking the Court to review the Ohio Supreme Court's decision to strike down the state's congressional map for partisan gerrymandering. We’ll keep an eye out to see if the Court agrees to hear the case — the Court typically releases a decision the following Monday.
