Teachers, let me get straight to the point before you have to get back to class (or for the students reading this, before your short Gen Z attention span taps out and you get back on TikTok...). MTV and When We All Vote want to give you up to $5,000 for your school's prom this year! WHAT? WHY? HOW? Keep reading for all the important info:

What?

This spring, your high school can enter the supercharged grant program Prom Challenge. When We All Vote, MTV, Rent the Runway, artists, and other brands have partnered together to celebrate 20 high schools across the country. These 20 brilliant winners of the Prom Challenge will be rewarded with grants up to $5,000 for their proms. Your IG story will be EXTRA long, honey.

Why?

We're cool. You seem cool. Voting is definitely cool, and this country could be cooler. Why not?

How?

All you have to do is get excited about voting. We want to celebrate and recognize the 20 high schools who are celebrating and integrating voter registration into their schools in the most fun, creative and impactful ways. Make it a party! And if you do, we'll throw you one. Blow our minds, and show off yours...

Get the contest rules, criteria, application and all other info you need at mtvprom.whenweallvote.org. Don't procrastinate on this... and sign up by Friday, March 13, at 11:59pm ET.

Here's a free tip: A great way to get started is by participating in the My School Votes January Week of Action for MLK Day! Serving your school community by supporting voter registration and voting is a great way to honor Dr. King's legacy.
