Danica Roem Condemns Anti-Trans Law

A Virginia lawmaker introduced a bill that would require Virginia school officials to notify parents if their child identifies as trans. Victory Fund candidate, running for the Virginia Senate, Delegate Danica Roem quickly condemned the harmful legislation, saying many LGBTQ kids have become homeless after being rejected by their families. Chicago to Remain a “Beacon of Hope” for Abortion and Gender-Affirming Care

Earlier this week, the Chicago City Council unanimously voted to expand protections for access to gender-affirming care and abortion in the city. The new law also prohibits employers from accessing information about decisions made by an employee or their family members regarding reproductive health care or gender-affirming care without their written consent. Victory Fund candidate Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who pushed for the measure, said it ensures that Chicago “remains a beacon” in the Midwest for those seeking reproductive care and gender-affirming care.
