Sherrod puts working people first -- always. That’s what the Dignity of Work is all about.

Thanks to Sherrod’s leadership, the previous Congress took historic steps to make our economy work for everyone and not just corporations and Wall Street:

CUTTING CHILD POVERTY BY HALF
Sherrod helped pass the American Rescue Plan to help working people and small businesses through the pandemic. It included Sherrod’s measure to save over 1 million people’s pensions as well as the biggest tax cut for middle-class families ever, which cut child poverty by nearly half.

AMERICAN-MADE INFRASTRUCTURE
Sherrod made sure the bipartisan infrastructure deal included the strongest-ever Buy America rules, so it not only creates jobs building our bridges, broadband, and public transit; it also ensures taxpayer dollars go toward American-made products, including iron and steel.

BURYING THE TERM “RUST BELT”
With the CHIPS Act, Sherrod helped address supply chain issues and high prices by making historic investments in domestic semiconductor manufacturing. These measures will create thousands of Ohio jobs that can’t be shipped overseas.

LOWERING COSTS FOR AMERICANS
Sherrod voted for the Inflation Reduction Act to lower prescription drug costs for people on Medicare, create jobs in domestic energy production and manufacturing, and make sure Wall Street pays a bit more of its fair share -- all without raising taxes on everyday Americans. 

No matter what kind of work you do, it has dignity and Sherrod will fight for you.
