Last year around this time, we celebrated the 49th anniversary of The Supreme Court’s landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
That was the last time we would have the chance to celebrate an anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
Sunday will mark 50 years since the decision came down on January 22, 1973. But rather than celebrating the day and all it meant for our liberation and progress, we will be mourning the fact that we now have less freedom than the generation of women who came before us.
That’s why we’re launching our Roe Workers Fund. Can you chip in $19.73 or whatever you can now?

Hi there,
This Sunday, January 22, should be the 50th anniversary of the passing of Roe v. Wade. But the chilling fact is we will not be able to commemorate half a century of abortion rights.
But we know SO MANY WOMEN who are working tirelessly to support our remaining reproductive rights – and many of them will be running for office in 2023 and 2024.
To honor the day that should have been a continuation of progress in women's freedom, we have launched a fund designated specifically for female candidates who have made a tangible, on-the-ground effort to help women achieve reproductive freedom. Whether that means helping pregnant women find options in other states, working to change legislation in their own state, or creating a new way to help in this effort, these funds will be for them.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 for our Roe Workers Fund. Help us reach this goal so we can support women candidates who are so dedicated to reproductive rights, they’ve been doing the on-the-ground WORK to protect them, by contributing $19.73 or more right now:

When Roe was overturned, we knew that the lives of women around the country were about to change. In fact, 1 in 3 American women automatically lost access to abortion care following the ruling due to trigger laws. Today, abortion is either completely banned or restricted in 18 states.
We need more pro-choice women in the rooms where decisions about our bodies are being made. We are dedicated to supporting pro-choice women running up and down the ballot, but we need your help.
Help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 for our Roe Workers Fund so we can elect progressive, pro-choice women who have demonstrated their dedication to this fight by rushing $19.73 immediately.
