Dear Friend,
Yesterday, Americans United and the National Women’s Law Center joined forces with more than a dozen faith leaders from across Missouri in a landmark lawsuit challenging the state’s abortion bans as an attack on church-state separation.
Support for our cause is growing. People are fed up with religious extremist lawmakers unconstitutionally imposing their narrow religious view about abortion on all of us.
In a new video, celebrities who are dedicated to protecting church-state separation and abortion access have joined forces with AU and are speaking out in support of our lawsuit. They include Amy Brenneman, Hunter Doohan, Tommy Dorfman, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Sarah Jones, Amy Landecker, Mary McCormack, Arian Moayed, Sarah Paulson, Kate Walsh, Michaela Watkins and Bradley Whitford.
Like you, these celebrities are tired of the government imposing one narrow religious viewpoint on all of us. We’re thrilled to have them join us in denouncing religious extremists and lifting up the vital importance of church-state separation and reproductive freedom.
Please watch this video and share it on your social media platforms or forward this message to your networks so more people can join us in the fight for freedom without favor and equality without exception.
In Solidarity,
Rachel K. Laser
President and CEO
