Over the last decade, we’ve seen voting rights attacked nationwide as states pass voter suppression laws. Will you stand with Congressman Bishop as he fights to protect voting rights at the federal level?
These voter suppression laws are creating longer voting lines, fewer polling locations, and more ways for ballots to be thrown out. Ultimately, they are designed to make it harder for millions of people — especially for people of color — to cast their vote.
These attacks and attempts to curtail our right to vote won’t stop. Unless we do something about it.
In 2022, six states had voting access proposals on the ballot. And when voting rights are on the ballot, Americans vote to protect them more often than not.
It’s time Congress did the same by passing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act, which would protect voting access, put an end to partisan gerrymandering, and reinstate all of the critical protections of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
