Dear MoveOn member,
Remember that feeling, the day after Trump's inauguration, when you saw millions of people rising up in the streets in every state, donning pink hats and carrying witty protest signs to declare: We are the resistance.
The Women's March began as a single-day mobilization and a collective demand for a better future for women. Now a powerful progressive partner, the Women's March has created a Women's Agenda to fight for our collective liberation. The focus of this year's marches is reproductive health, rights, and justice, climate justice, and immigrant rights—key issues we've been fighting for together at MoveOn in our effort to create a world where everyone can thrive.
There are over 200 marches taking place around the country. Join the Women's March on Saturday to unite together in the face of continued attacks on our bodies, our rights, our immigrant communities, and our planet.
Our ongoing work to stop and blunt Trump's attacks including making calls on impeachment and protesting the march to war with Iran last week is vital to protecting communities under attack—and so is joining in joyful rebellion to feel the power of our movement. Women's March events are a great time to connect with friends new and old, and recommit ourselves to the work ahead. See the details here for the Women's March in Washington, D.C.
Thanks for all you do.
