Before President Biden's visit, authorities started detaining illegal immigrants and cleaning up encampments in El Paso to give President Biden a photo op and allow the mainstream media to paint an unrealistic picture of the crisis unfolding every day at the southern border.
This visit was nothing more than an attempt for the Biden administration to save face and cover up the crisis when the reality of the situation at the border is much worse.
The Biden administration's incompetence and deliberate refusal to carry out the rule of law led to OVER 2 MILLION illegal immigrants encountered in 2021-2022 at the southern and already over 600,000 for 2022-2023 immigrants.
Even worse, Biden's DHS is detaining less than 0.2% of all illegal aliens living across the United States. (source)
In many cases, the illegal immigrants encountered at the border are being released into communities in almost every state.
