We're less than one week away from our "We Are Young" Celebration and Fundraiser on January 25th.
This event is more than just a chance to gather with fellow Brooklyn activists, leaders and elected officials to celebrate our work; it's also a crucial moment to ensure we have the resources and support we need to fight Republicans and create a better, fairer city.
That's why we're excited to announce our last fundraiser honoree, who's been fighting for democracy and justice for years: Christina Das, our BYD Young Activist of the Year!

Christina’s leadership started right here in Brooklyn, and is proof of the impact young people can have on our future.
She served as BYD President from 2020 to 2022, guiding the club through the coronavirus pandemic and a public battle with the county party for BYD's survival.
As a civil rights attorney, Christina works to strengthen the pillars of democracy, and played a key role leading election protection efforts in Texas and South Carolina during the 2022 midterm elections. Locally, she serves on Brooklyn Community Board 7 and the New York State Taskforce on Voting Rights and Democracy, and is a member of the South Asian Bar Association.
