John, a community in Arizona is now cut off from its water
supply. Rio Verde Foothills was previously getting water from the
Scottsdale region, but due to the extreme weather patterns brought on by
climate change, they are now without water and relying on rainwater for
basic home functions.

While this is a story about climate change, it's also about the impacts of
policies that neglect basic human necessities. The homes in this community
were built in an area that was known to have a limited water supply, but
developers wanted the homes built regardless. This, compounded with the
severity of the drought, is just an echo chamber of issues without real
solutions for the citizens of Rio Verde.

change the course of our nation. Thank you for continuing to support us
and our want for a better future.
