John — Ahead of their disastrous speaker vote, which showcased the full extent of the GOP’s dysfunction, the “turn back the clock” party of extremism released their priority agenda for the new Congress.
Here are some of their top action items:
- Pass two extreme anti-abortion measures — which they’ve already done in their first weeks in power!
- Roll back gains made by the Inflation Reduction Act and other Democratic measures, including key climate mitigation efforts! They even want to launch a giveaway to Big Oil.
- Expand their disingenuous fear mongering campaigns, including a new inquiry by Jim Jordan into the “weaponization” of government against MAGA conservatives (otherwise known as insurrectionists) including Trump. This is an unprecedented power grab that will attempt to stymie serious investigations by security agencies and our justice system.
