Hello John
I hope you're keeping well.
Following last year’s voluntary audit, Tusla are holding a 2nd briefing on Child Safeguarding Statements & Child Protection Policies & Procedures ([link removed]) to share what they learned from the sector. There will also be another opportunity for those who didn’t participate in last year’s voluntary audit to submit your organisation's Child Safeguarding Statements and Child Protection Policies and receive expert advice and guidance directly from Tusla.
WHEN: Wednesday 1st March 2023
WHERE: Online (via Zoom)
DEADLINE FOR STATEMENT SUBMISSIONS: 14th April 2023
Register >> ([link removed])
At this briefing session you will:
* Receive up-to-date information and advice on Child Safeguarding Statements, Safeguarding Risk Assessments and Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures
* Learn more about risk assessments, responsibilities of Mandated Persons and DLPs, specified procedures from the Child Safeguarding Statements, and ensuring all language, definitions, and reporting forms align with Children First, 2015
* Ensure your organisation is compliant with legislation and Children First Guidelines.
It is vital that youth work organisations ensure their Child Safeguarding Statements, and their Child Protection Policies comply with the legislation as these form the foundation of working safely with young people. We strongly encourage you to attend the briefing ([link removed]) and submit your documents to Tusla for review as part of this process.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Kind regards,
Siobhán
