Dear John, We need you to tell your state representative to stop House Bill 2279, a proposal left over from Kate Brown’s administration. HB 2279 will repeal the residency requirement from Oregon’s so-called “Death with Dignity” Act, making people everywhere vulnerable to physician-assisted suicide by turning Oregon into a death-on-demand destination. The bill is scheduled for a public hearing this coming Monday, on January 23, at 3:00 P.M. Use our tool to email the House Committee On Behavioral Health and Health Care and let them know that you oppose HB 2279. After you’ve sent your email to the committee, please consider speaking in person at the hearing on Monday! You can help stop the advance of this life-threatening policy by emailing your legislators and being present at the hearing. Stand up against the growing culture of death in Oregon and advocate for the safety and dignity of every human life! Because everyone deserves an advocate, Justin Hageman |
