Boundary Waters Permits. We're almost a week away from Boundary Waters permits becoming available for the 2023 quota season! Permits are required May 1- Sep 30 and are available January 25 at 9 AM CST at recreation.gov. Need more help planning your BWCAW trip? Trip planning resources >>
Last week, the Boundary Waters Permanent Protection Bill was introduced in the MN House and Senate by chief authors Representative Sandra Feist and Senator Kelly Morrison (H.F. 329/S.F. 167). This bill would permanently ban sulfide-ore copper mining on state lands upstream of the Boundary Waters. Take action here >>
