12 Recommendations to Respond to Crisis of Physician Stress

Many Physicians Feel Complicit in Perpetuating Injustice Through Hospital Practices

A new set of 12 recommendations for leadership in U.S. hospitals and professional groups responds to moral stress in clinical practice as a barrier to practitioner integrity and good care. The recommendations reflect findings from the Study to Examine Physicians’ Pandemic Stress (STEPPS), a project of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The Hastings Center, funded by The Greenwall Foundation.
