GOP extremists are getting powerful positions on House committees — and it's dangerous for all of us.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has made death threats to fellow House members. She's trafficked antisemitic conspiracy theories, supported insurrectionists, and hung out with actual Nazis. She spread doubts about 9/11 — and now, Kevin McCarthy is putting her on the House Homeland Security Committee.
John, she's not the only one. The far right has taken a ton of powerful spots on all the House committees, and we've got to push back.
MAGA Republicans are threatening to tank the global economy by breaching the debt limit. They're proposing crazy ideas like a 30% SALES TAX. And they're elevating QAnon conspiracy theorists to positions of power in the House.
Now more than ever, we have to have a powerful progressive bloc to push back. Together with my allies in the House we're standing up to this nonsense and doing our best to actually GOVERN. But to do it, we'll need support from everyone.
