Only 45 Percent of Employment‐​Based Green Cards Went to Workers in 2021 - The majority of employment-based (EB) green cards went to family members of skilled workers, and 92% of EB green cards went to people who were already legally living in the US. Amid inflationary labor shortages, Alex Nowrasteh with the CATO Institute calls for visa reforms to exempt certain immigrants from the EB green card cap to allow for the entry of more skilled workers into the US workforce.  

Cornyn Passed Most Bills Into Law Last Congress - US Senator John Cornyn ranked first among members of Congress in number of bills sponsored that were enacted into law during the 117th Congress, with a total of 34 bills.

McCaul Applauds UT Decision to Block TikTok on Campus Wi-Fi - Representative Michael McCaul praised the decision by the University of Texas to block TikTok on its campus Wi-Fi networks, citing security concerns and the app's ties to the Chinese government. "It’s no secret that TikTok is beholden to the Chinese Communist Party, which uses the app to indoctrinate, surveil, and exploit Americans," said McCaul.
