Hello!
My name is Mena (pronounced ?MEH-nah?) Duarte. I am excited to join the Minnesota Department of Revenue?s Income Tax and Withholding Division to support the tax professional community!
Before joining Revenue, I prepared tax returns for low- to moderate-income community members through Prepare + Prosper. I have a bachelor?s degree in business administration with a minor in economics, and I?m working on a second bachelor's in accounting.
I?ll be available to support tax professionals, particularly community-based ones who are not connected through CPA, EA, or other credentialing organizations. I?ll also work closely with Mark Krause, our other tax professional outreach coordinator, to answer your Minnesota tax questions and provide helpful resources.
