Team,

Working families have been hit hard by rising prices at grocery stores and gas pumps. People are struggling to pay their utility bills. And travel plans were disrupted for millions of Americans hoping to spend time with their loved ones over the holiday season.

Meanwhile, big corporations are reaping unprecedented benefits. ExxonMobil broke records last quarter with $20 billion in profits, all while receiving generous tax subsidies. Southwest Airlines received $3.7 billion in federal aid just last year. Their CEO received $9 million in salary and over $400M in dividends, yet they threaten termination for anyone taking sick leave.

The root of so many of these troubles? Greed and lack of basic oversight.

Over and over again, we are seeing wealthy companies and their top CEOs rake in millions or billions of dollars in profits, while everyday consumers suffer. Big corporations are receiving better tax breaks than teachers, nurses, and first responders — that’s not right. Workers and taxpayers are footing the bill while execs rake in cash and passengers are stranded. Enough is enough.

As Ulster County Executive, and now as a member of Congress, I’m committed to delivering relief for families in the Hudson Valley. From reducing costs to holding wealthy corporations accountable for price hikes, I'll stop at nothing to make life easier for us all.

If you agree that it’s time for companies to pay their fair share, sign my petition today to hold these corporations accountable.

The fight to take on corporate greed is local and personal to me. I’ve heard from so many Hudson Valley consumers who are fed up with the negligence of Central Hudson and other companies deflecting their responsibilities to customers.

I’m fed up with this incompetence, and I’m taking action in Congress to make customers whole.

I campaigned on the promise to hold wealthy corporations accountable for their promises to consumers, and I’m hard at work to make sure big corporations and their billionaire CEOs pay their fair share. If you’re with me in this mission, add your name alongside mine in the fight for what’s right.

Team, I won’t rest until Hudson Valley families’ wrongs are righted by these corporations. Thanks for joining in this fight with me.

Yours in service,

Pat
