exactly how your founding donation to our Senate campaign will be

One of the biggest expenses of any major political campaign is TV
advertising. TV ads show voters who Katie is, what she stands for, and why
she’s the best person to fight for working people in the U.S. Senate.

It’s not cheap to create these ads—the process comes with design, filming,
production, and editing costs. But the real price tag of our TV ads is
getting them on the air.

In order to reach voters in every part of California, we’ll need to
purchase airtime in every single media market—regions defined by TV
broadcasters—in the state. And California has 16 media markets, including
two of the nation’s largest:

In other words, since California has more voters than anywhere else in
America, the amount we have to spend on TV ads is significantly higher
than the national average. Our TV budget will undoubtedly be in the
millions.

So John, now you know exactly why
we’re asking for your support. Sending Katie to the Senate will require
serious resources, and $0.00 of that will come from corporate PACs,
federal lobbyists, or executives from Big Banks, Big Pharma, or Big Oil.
