Bottom Line: “Gallagher is a rising conservative star who is making his mark
in the national security field.”

Gallagher Sounds the Alarm on America’s Response to China

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “I think we’re waking up, but we’re waking up too slowly to be
sure. What gives me hope is both parties are starting to say some of the right
things on China. On the Republican side, I think we’re more forward-leaning on
saying the biggest national security threat we face is the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP), whereas the Democrats are torn between that and climate change and
tend to favor the latter over the former.”

Gallagher Explains Why He’s Taking on China

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “The most important thing we want to do with this Select
Committee on China is making it a bipartisan effort...we want to identify where
Congress can speak with one voice on the policy that best positions us to win
the long-term competition with the CCP.”

Gallagher Joins Bipartisan Bill to Restrict Huawei Access to the U.S.
Financial Systems

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “There is strong bipartisan support in Congress to defend US and
allied 5G networks from CCP-dominated companies like Huawei and ZTE, and I'm
proud to introduce the NETWORKS Act alongside a strong bipartisan coalition.”

Gallagher Calls for a Nationwide TikTok Ban

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “TikTok has repeatedly told Congress and the American public that
it does not share US user data with its Chinese owner ByteDance and
specifically claimed it has never targeted individual Americans. … this was a
lie and … ByteDance employees accessed the location data of US journalists who
wrote critical stories about TikTok. This is egregious and another reason why
the time has come to pass my bipartisan bill to ban this CCP-controlled spyware
from the U.S.”

Gallagher Introduces Legislation to Ban TikTok in America

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “The bill… will ‘protect Americans from the threat posed by
certain foreign adversaries’ – specifically calling out TikTok and its Chinese
parent company ByteDance – that use social media ‘to surveil Americans, learn
sensitive data about Americans, or spread influence campaigns, propaganda, and
censorship.”

Gallagher Responds to TikTok’s Claims

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “[The ANTI-SOCIAL CCP Act is] not politically motivated. It's
motivated by national security, and it's motivated by protecting this country
from the aggression of the Chinese Communist Party."

Gallagher Seeks to Hold the Mexican Drug Cartels Accountable

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “Recent cartel-related violence underscores the need for the U.S.
to impose a maximum pressure campaign against cartels and the corrupt officials
who help these criminals wreak havoc on the border. From crippling sanctions
and visa restrictions to more resources to combat arms trafficking, these bills
will give the federal government every tool it needs to go after cartels."

Gallagher Slams Study Recommending Marines Drop ‘Sir’ and ‘Ma’am’ for Drill
Instructors

<[link removed]>

Bottom Line: “Obviously this is insane. … Playing such dumb games in academia
or entertainment is one thing, but now we are meddling with the life-or-death
business of warfighting. If we keep integrating such woke nonsense into
deterrence, then we will see more deterrence failures."
