Hey John,
This Sunday should be the 50th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
But thanks to six unelected Supreme Court justices — five of whom have never and can never get pregnant — we no longer have a national right to abortion. They said it's up to each state to decide, and we've already seen how disastrous that's been.
But, John — this month,
hundreds of diverse young progressives we helped elect were sworn in to state houses, city councils, and state prosecutors' offices across the country.
They now have the power to protect and expand access to abortion in their county, state, or city.
The Supreme Court says abortion rights are now a state and local issue. That's our specialty. Chip in
$5
or more to elect diverse young progressive abortion defenders in blue, red, and purple places alike.

Here's how Run for Something alums are already taking action to protect anyone who may need an abortion:
Last year, Nebraska state Senator
Megan Hunt filibustered and blocked an all-out abortion ban in the state. This year, she's continuing the fight and will introduce three new bills to protect abortion access. Two million people's right to abortion could come down to one person.
In Michigan, the end of Roe triggered a 1931 abortion ban. While activists hustled to add reproductive freedom to the state constitution, Washtenaw County Prosecutor
Eli Savit protected people seeking and providing abortions by refusing to prosecute them.
Florida state Representative and former Planned Parenthood Director
Anna Eskamani is continuing to speak out and take action against any abortion restrictions and making headlines doing it. Donald Trump may be scared of Ron DeSantis. But Anna isn't.
John, it's clear Congress, the Supreme Court, and the White House are not going to save us right now. But you know what?
We don't have to rely on them to protect people needing abortions.
We can elect powerful abortion-rights defenders at the state and local level and in blue and red states, counties, and towns alike to actually
do something.
On this historic 50-year anniversary of Roe v. Wade, chip in $50 or any amount you can to help ensure everyone has access to abortion, no matter their zip code, by electing more diverse young progressive abortion defenders in 2023 and beyond.
Let's fucking go,
