Walz, Flanagan look to make Minnesota 'best state for kids' in new budget proposal - Kare11
John,
With our state’s historic budget surplus, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make investments that will improve the lives of Minnesotans for generations to come.
Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan are fighting to seize this moment and know the most impactful investment we can make in our future is in our children. That’s why as part one of their four-part One Minnesota budget, they’ve announced a proposal to make Minnesota the best state in the country for kids.
The plan includes funding for universal school meals, expanded access to special education, major new mental health investments, funding to expand childcare tax credits, and more.
Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan are keeping their promises, but make no mistake: their opponents haven’t gone anywhere. Minnesota Republicans are already doing everything they can to obstruct the progress Minnesotans voted for last November.
That’s why it’s so important for us to keep our budget on track — especially in non-election years. Every dollar you pitch in helps us ensure we can have our DFL leaders’ back.
John, as one of our most reliable DFLers, we’re asking you first: Can you send a donation today so we can continue fighting together to build a brighter future for our state?
Thank you,
Minnesota DFL
