John,
Today is the anniversary of Steve Kerr’s father’s murder, who was shot and killed 39 years ago. It is a solemn day, but even during the hardest times, Kerr remains a fierce advocate for gun violence prevention. You probably know Coach Kerr’s story, because he has bravely shared it with Brady supporters and on the national stage, as he continues to fight against our gun violence epidemic.
Yesterday, Coach Kerr, Steph Curry, and the rest of the Golden State Warriors visited the White House to celebrate their NBA Championship last year. The team sat down with President Biden to discuss what the administration is doing to address gun violence in our country – and the conversation couldn’t come at a more poignant time. Gun violence deaths have hit record highs consistently in past years and now, gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in the United States.
It was after multiple tragedies last year, in Uvalde, Buffalo, and Highland Park, that Steve Kerr turned to the nation and asked “When are we going to do something?”
Coach Kerr has been a dedicated gun violence prevention champion, and partner to Brady, for many years. Much like President Biden, who has already acted upon his promise to take action during his term, helping pass landmark legislation. Both of these gun violence prevention champions have called on Congress to take action – it’s time for lawmakers to do their part to save lives, like reinstating an assault weapons ban and expanding background checks.
The majority of Americans agree with Coach Kerr and President Biden – will you help us prove it? We still need 54 more signatures to reach statistically significant results on our urgent poll, can you add your response right now?
John, WILL YOU JOIN PRESIDENT BIDEN IN DEMANDING CONGRESS PASS COMMON-SENSE GUN SAFETY LEGISLATION?
