You know I hate sending “the sky is falling” fundraising emails to you, folks.
But when you’re defending a newly-blue seat that was previously held by Republicans for nearly half a century, it’s an uphill battle. We’re fighting on multiple fronts against a right-wing extremist challenger, powerful Republican party leaders, and dark-money groups who all share a top priority: defeating me in 2020.
That’s why it’s important that we plan ahead and hit every single one of our benchmarks in the lead-up to Election Day. We’re more than halfway through January -- will you chip in today to make sure we’re on track to meet our monthly fundraising goal?
Look, I don’t want to have to send you 50 emails begging for money at the end of the quarter -- and I know you don’t want me cluttering your inbox either.
