The GOP has held the House majority for just a few weeks and has already passed two restrictive anti-choice bills, including one that could subject abortion doctors to prosecution.
Laws like this are disgusting and dangerous and that's why you may have seen me leading the fight against them on the House Floor.
I have always believed that every person in this country should have the right to make their own decisions about healthcare, including abortion. And I'm not alone.
If there's one thing the 2022 election showed us, it's that the American people overwhelmingly want reproductive rights to be protected.
Over 61% of Americans support broad access to abortions, but the Republican majority is hell-bent on ignoring the will of the people we serve. It's clear they genuinely don't care about the health, well-being, or opinion of the American people as long as they can continue serving their cruel agenda and special interests.
I have never shied away from being a proudly pro-choice voice in Congress – in fact, even before Roe was overturned, I led the charge to codify the protections of Roe. The fight is not over, and I promise to continue advocating for your reproductive rights.
