Important news in our fight for reproductive justice:
Last March, Ayanna and a coalition of congressional leaders urged the federal government to expand access to mifepristone, a prescription medication that’s used to safely provide abortion care in the United States.
Our advocacy worked. Now, thanks to a recent policy change from the FDA, more women will be able to access mifepristone more easily, including via online pharmacies and at large pharmacy chains like CVS and Walgreens.
Abortion is health care, and it’s a fundamental right. That’s why Ayanna is determined to use every tool possible to make it accessible.
Ayanna is at the forefront of the fight for reproductive justice in Congress, and we’re making important progress to remove barriers to care.
But at the same time, Republicans are continuing to attack reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. As one of their first acts in the majority, House Republicans passed two anti-abortion bills, and without the guardrails of Roe v. Wade, GOP-led states across the country are adopting laws that restrict abortion access.
