As Attorney General, I am able to propose what’s called “AG Request Legislation” to the legislature. I propose bills every session and work with my colleagues in the House and Senate to pass these policies into law. As a result, the Governor has signed into law more than 30 bills I requested.
This year, I am continuing to work on legislation to prevent gun violence, create a Cold Case Investigations Unit focused on solving cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women, and protect Washingtonians from utility shutoffs and illegal robocalls. That’s just a few!
