Hi, John, I wanted
to reach out and let you know what I’ve been up to in the last two weeks,
but if you’re short on time, [ [link removed] ]are you able to chip in $5, $15, or even
$30 to help my team and I continue our critical movement building work?
It has been a whirlwind since the start of the 118th Congress with the
infamous Republican discord over the House Speaker vote. But Democrats
have stayed the course and continued to strategize together how we can
actively create policies that will help working people.
It is through unity, imagination, and organization — while the far-right
continues to unravel — that we will make progress in this GOP-controlled
House.
John, we don’t
talk enough about how important building a common vision is for
long-lasting, tangible change. It is easy to throw in the towel and say
“Well, it is what it is.” But our power is in expanding the realm of what
is possible.
This year we made history by electing the largest number of progressives
into Congress, including young people, people of color, and women —
everyone who is not the political status quo. Only a few decades ago, it
would have been unthinkable, but when we can imagine new systems and back
it up with hard work and good governing, there is no limit to how bright
our future can be.
If you believe that we can shape the world we want to live in, then [ [link removed] ]I’m
asking for your contribution today so I can continue working with my
colleagues to push the boundaries of what we know is possible and usher in
a brighter future.
