The walls are closing in on George Santos, team: Republican and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said that if Santos is found to have broken campaign finance laws, he will be removed from Congress. A complaint had already been filed with the FEC to urge the agency to investigate Santos for allegedly violating campaign finance laws. That means that Santos could be kicked out of office at any moment. If George Santos resigns and a special election is called, we need to be prepared to flip this seat from red to blue. So far, the House GOP has remained silent about George Santos – but multiple state-level Republicans from New York are demanding Santos resign, claiming he does not represent the people given all of his lies. With members of his own party calling for his resignation and investigations beginning into his alleged crimes, it is only a matter of time before Santos is out of office – and a special election to fill NY-03 is called. This seat was held by a Democrat before Santos won it in November, and this is a seat we can take back.
