This is truly unbelievable, John:

Senate Republicans in Pennsylvania are trying to hold justice for abuse victims hostage to enact partisan, divisive policies.

A package of constitutional amendments was passed last week through Senate Bill 1 including the two-year window to justice for abuse victims, voter ID, and the legislative regulatory override.

Republican leaders argue that their partisan agenda is "equally as important" as helping victims of horrific abuse be allowed to hold abusers and their enablers accountable.

These Harrisburg partisans are trying to leverage survivors’ trauma and urgent need for justice for the political gain of their party. Their policies are unnecessary and purely political changes to our election and regulatory systems.

John, the right to the ballot box and the right to justice should never be at odds. Can you pitch in $10 today to help us stand up for both of these rights and put the will of the people over the will of the extremist politicians?

This is precisely why voters dislike Harrisburg and kicked Republicans out of the majority in the PA State House. In 2022, voters resoundingly sent a message to Harrisburg and D.C. that our elections are secure. 3 out of 4 Pennsylvania voters said they are confident in the way our elections are run.

Any policy that creates yet another barrier for Pennsylvanians to cast their vote is not in the best interest of our Commonwealth.

The New Pennsylvania Project will continue our work to expand, educate, and empower the electorate. With the PA GOP sinking to even lower depths to stifle our rights and democracy, this work is all the more important. Will you donate $10 right now to help power our work and build lasting change in our Commonwealth?

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
