Hi Friend,

No parent wants to put their child in danger — but sometimes, they feel they have no choice.

That was the case for Nelson, who fled Honduras to give his 11-year-old daughter, Karen, hope for a brighter, safer future.

One free of the violence and persecution they faced back home.

They journeyed to the U.S. together, sleeping on sidewalks night after night — which filled him with doubt about his choice to leave.

But every time her father offered to turn around, Karen replied, “I will not go back.”

When we talk about asylum seekers, we’re talking about kids like Karen. Sign this letter if you agree: her right to seek safety and opportunity is not ours to take away! [[link removed]]

The Biden administration is proposing an asylum ban that is illegal and inhumane.

This new rule would require migrants to apply for asylum in transit countries before entering the U.S. That means waiting for months or more in Mexico or other transit countries — where families continue to struggle with the violence and persecution they fled in the first place.

Friend , if this asylum ban goes into effect, it will become almost impossible for children to seek safety here.

Tell President Biden: our nation needs a lawful, compassionate immigration process — not an inhumane asylum ban. [[link removed]]
