[1]NNU - Medicare for All!
A new Gallup poll found that more people in the U.S. than ever are putting
off medical care due to cost.
38% of respondents said they have put off medical care for financial
reasons – a 12-point increase from the past two years. 27% of respondents
said the delayed treatment was for a condition that was considered to be
“very” or “somewhat” serious.^1
It’s no surprise that American life expectancy is now at its lowest in
nearly two decades.^2 We cannot continue on this path.
Health care is a human right that must be guaranteed to all, and we’re
continuing our fight to advance the movement for Medicare for All this
year.

We made significant progress last year with the first-ever hearing on
Medicare for All in the U.S. Senate, a dozen candidates who ran on
Medicare for All and won their elections, 70 candidates and elected
officials who took the Patients Over Profits Pledge, and more.
Now, it’s on us to build on our organizing efforts — especially in advance
of the reintroduction of the House and Senate bills this year.
[ [link removed] ]If you’re ready to help us gain new cosponsors, move the national
single-payer movement forward, and stand up to corporate influence in our
politics, RSVP for the organizing call on January 31.
