THE SITUATION: Tonight we are kicking off our sprint to the 2020 primary. Voting begins in just four months.



THE IMPORTANCE: We can't overstate the importance of this primary. We will either have a Democratic candidate who will fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal and getting big money out of politics, or we will have a candidate who won’t. Only one will beat Susan Collins. Spoiler alert: it’s not the candidates who will bend to the will of rich donors and corporate lobbyists.

THE JOB AHEAD: Quite simply, we need to generate as many donations — at whatever amount you can afford — between now and the primary. Help us staff our field operation so that we can reach as many Mainers as possible and let them know the choice they are facing in June.
