The paramedic community is concerned about the number of needless opioid related deaths that occur in Canada
Recently, paramedics with the assistance of the CSA Group developed a standard which outlines a comprehensive national framework for paramedic emergency and front-line response to the opioid crisis across the treatment and care continuum in out-of–hospital emergency and community settings that can be implemented by first responders across Canada. We are now seeking assistance in knowledge translation. We have prepared a project information page and a Request for Proposal.

The Paramedic Association of Canada has developed an awards program to
recognize exceptional Canadian paramedics and paramedic supporters at the
national level. The award presentation will occur during the Paramedics on the Hill
event in Ottawa in the spring of 2020. (final dates TBD)
